I am also putting an overhead dvd player and game module( 110 plug with rca input for the xbox) I have an 09 traverse LT1 that I am doing the same thing to. I'm taking the chance that ONE of those things will happen in the next 2 years. NO ONE knows if it will get a reprieve, or someone will buy it out and keep it going, or whether Pioneer will get a compatible service to take its place. One important thing: Per Microsoft, MSN Direct, which provides traffic, movies, weather, gas prices, and other data to the headunit, will cease to exist on 1/1/12. Rear-View Camera - $100 (Yes, I have the rear view camera in the rear view mirror, but I can't stand it.it's too small for me, and I hate the angle.) Pioneer Nd-Mdt10 MSN Direct Tuner (for traffic) - $90

PAC SWI-PS (Steering wheel adapter) - $50 PAC OS-4 (required for OnStar integration) - $135 You will have to buy a few more items to get factory integration, so here's the final parts list: Again, no guarantees, but that appears to be the case. The reason Pioneer is giving a rebate is that the AVIC-Z120BT will be announced soon, but it appears to be just a software upgrade, meaning that it will be MUCH cheaper to buy the Z110 and pay the upgrade fee to the Z120, if you want the new features. That is ridiculous for a unit of this quality and that has these features. My local Al & Ed's was already selling it for a huge discount at $985, so net to me will be $785. The best part is, from now until April 30th, Pioneer is offering a $200 mail-in rebate on the Z110BT from authorized dealers.

The only thing I'll lose is the dual use of a button, since apparently the SWI-PS is not designed to record a regular press and a 2-second press of the same button. I would have voice input of Bluetooth, navigation, AND iPod control, as well as source control, right from my voice input button on my steering wheel. I happened to notice that the latest version of the PAC SWI-PS steering wheel adapter listed voice input control when used with either the top-of-the-line Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT or the AVIC-X920BT. It's possible that one day they will update the SWI-JACK, but no guarantees. But the key was PAC still had no steering wheel adapter that allows voice input with Kenwoods. Kenwood is releasing the DNX-9160 in the next few months with voice input, but it will be expensive, and I didn't need the 5.1 audio processing (one reason why it's expensive). My choices were adding the factory nav, or going to a different aftermarket unit. This means that I had to find a nav system with voice input. However, the more I used the voice control button on my Acadia, I realized that I would really miss voice input if I put in the Kenwood system. I also had 2 7" SAVV monitors ($80 each new from eBay!) that I had planned to install behind the headrests, but never got around to it. It was an awesome dual-zone system, with XM NavTraffic, and full iPod audio and video integration along with steering wheel button control when combined with the PAC SWI-JACK. My plan was to install the Kenwood DNX-7100 system that had been in my 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. I decided to not spend the money on the factory nav system when I got my Acadia. I shall endeavor to add more info on this topic as I install an aftermarket navigation system in my Acadia with the hope that the mods will merge this thread with that one.
